 A Guide to Your Meridian Comb

The Philosophy:
In traditional Eastern wellness, the head is revered as the body's "summit of vitality"—a place where many of your core energy pathways (meridians) converge. When you experience stress or spend long hours in front of a screen, the energy in these pathways can become stagnant, leading to feelings of heaviness, mental fog, or tension.

This 5-minute daily ritual, inspired by this ancient wisdom, uses your Meridian Comb to gently stimulate the scalp. This practice isn't about treating a condition; it's about encouraging smooth energy flow, releasing accumulated tension, and fostering a sense of clarity and lightness. It's a simple act of self-care to reset your mind and body.

The Ritual Steps:

Step 1: Centering Breath (30 seconds)
Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Take three deep breaths, inhaling calm and exhaling tension. Hold the Meridian Comb in your hand, feeling its natural, grounding texture.

Step 2: Awaken the Scalp (1 minute)

• The Motion: Using the teeth of the comb, start from your front hairline and comb backwards to the nape of your neck, following the centerline of your head.
• The Feeling: Use gentle but firm pressure—it should feel pleasant, not painful. Imagine you are clearing pathways in a zen garden.
• Repetition: Repeat this motion 20-30 times.

Step 3: Soothe the Side Pathways (2 minutes)

• The Motion: Now, move to the sides of your head. Start from your temples, comb upwards and backwards over your ears, ending at the base of your skull near the "Wind Pool" (Feng Chi point) area.
• The Focus: This area is known for holding stress from concentration and screen time. Feel the tension melting away with each smooth, flowing stroke.
• Repetition: Repeat 10-15 times on each side.

Step 4: Acupressure Point Focus (1 minute)

• The "Wind Pool" (Feng Chi): Use the rounded corners of your comb to gently press into the two hollows at the base of your skull. Apply gentle, firm pressure and make small circles to release any lingering stiffness.
• The "Crown" (Baihui): Use the top corner of the comb to gently press the point at the very crown of your head. Hold for 10 seconds, release, and repeat three times. This is said to bring a sense of clarity and balance.
